Thor was rescued from a Central Valley CA animal shelter, where he was picked up as a stray running at large, seriously underweight. When we brought him in, the only available place to kennel him was with another male Dobie. We had asked his shelter to test him for being social with other dogs, and they confirmed that he was dog-social, so we partnered him with another male, and he did well except for being amorous toward the other male. Fortunately, the other male tolerated Thor's advances well since they were clearly not meant as dominant behavior, just an indication that he required neutering. He's now neutered and ready to play with another dog who will tolerate his amorous behavior in case it still exists, lol. Thor is about 2-3 years old and weighs 70 pounds. We're recommending no small kids for him, as he did deliver a play bite while playing with a child previously, so he'll need to learn a little restraint with mouthy play behavior.
