Argos originally came into our rescue program because his animal shelter felt he was too shy to offer for public adoption. He was shy, but only briefly. Partnered with a social female Dobie, he was not only comfortable with her, he shared a doghouse with her. A couple of years later he showed up in an animal shelter, identified by our microchip. A call to the adopter by the shelter staff was bad news: she had given Argos away, and didn't even keep track of the new owner's name, a total violation of our adoption agreement. We immediately reclaimed him from the animal shelter, and he didn't even seem unhappy to be back. He's now 4 years old, a happy, friendly guy who presents as so unaggressive and undominant that he might even be good with a same-sex canine companion. Since he enjoys the company of other dogs so much, we would prefer to place Argos with another dog in the home, and maybe with kids as well.
