Atticus is a young male who was running out of time at the animal shelter.  He wasn't being very nice at the gate of his kennel and barked at the staff that walked by.  We saw an insecure guy that handled stress and anxiety by acting tough.  He's only about 2 years old, not quite all Dobie, and we're getting to know him a bit better.  Atticus can be anxious and unfocused when he's overwhelmed so he needs a calm handler that can help him navigate the world more peacefully.  He has been good with other dogs and we would love to see him go to a home with a sweet, larger dog to play with - female preferred but the right male could work as well.  Atticus needs an adult home without small kids and a family that will advocate for him.  He has been good around strangers but gets uncomfortable when they invade his space and try to touch him.  He's been taking to crate training really well and we think he could be a great dog for someone willing to put in the time to gain his trust.
