We escaped the summer heat by trekking up in Mt. Baldy and it was absolutely beautiful. Austin and Sally are two doggies that have been with us for over a year. They have been lucky enough to spend that time in a foster home but they really deserve forever homes. Sally is still a youngster at about 2 years old and she is the cutest little blue pittie/dobie mix. She's not too big, strong, sturdy and healthy after recovering from demodex many, many months ago. She gets overwhelmed when strangers approach her too quickly and invade her personal space bubble. She will need an owner who can advocate for her in public and around new people so she has the room to feel safe until she gets more comfortable with them. She bonds tightly to her people though and shows her silly, affectionate and playful side. Another fun fact? She LOVES water! If you have a pool or frequent any body of water then she will have a blast. Austin is a couple years older but still just as much of a kid at heart. He's such a sweet guy, does well with most female dogs and loves to play. He can be reactive on leash around some other dogs but mostly in close, stressful quarters. He did fantastic on our hike where we saw many other dogs. A little work will go a long way with him and trust us, he is absolutely worth it! We love both of these gorgeous sweethearts and they are both a hikers dream.
