Benson has been with us for a while now and is somewhere in the ball park of middle aged.  He is what we call a "plain brown wrapper" dog because he is often looked over.  Benson is a sweet guy, calm and quiet, but his easy going demeanor can sometimes be read as uninteresting so it doesn't catch people's attention. He has had a few different female Dobie kennelmates that he has befriended, and we would expect him to be fine with kids - at least older ones - as well. Benson craves human attention and should bond well with whoever his deserving new family turns out to be. Benson hasn't always greeted male dogs very well when on leash but his manners have improved greatly and if given a little distance, he doesn't much care about other dogs.
