Diamond is a brand-new (late September, 2019) Dobie girl who is 2 years old. We rescued her from an upstate animal shelter after her owners turned her in because their fencing wasn't adequate to keep her confined. She is in most ways the ideal dog: good with dogs of all sizes, good with kids and cats, housebroken, and obedience trained. Containment is her only known negative behavior, as she can climb or jump a 6' fence, and when given the opportunity to run off, she did. We don't recommend that any of our adoptees be allowed off leash outside a confined area, but certainly not Diamond, and an 8' block wall for her security would likely be adequate.
