Duke is an amazing senior boy! He's 9 years old (as of May, 2019), and he's dog-social, housebroken, and bonds well with his loved ones. His ex-owners said he wasn't good off leash, but in our experience of his 2-week stay with us, he's perfect off leash, always staying near the house, using the doggie door to come and go, staying close to his person, and engaging with the other dogs. He's also good with kids, isn't destructive, and knows a couple of commands. He loves to play with other dogs, sometimes almost reaching the point of annoying them, which could lead to arguments over time. We think that Duke can certainly live with another well-matched dog and be taken to dog parks for playtime, but he would also be suited to being someone's "one and only."
