This is a courtesy post for a dog in California that is being re-homed. Please contact the owner at Sheenas72@yahoo.com for more information.

Fitz needs to be in a home where he isn't left alone a lot and has room to play. He's very unsocial, does not like other dogs at all and he is extremely protective of his family and home. He should be with an adult or a couple without kids, someone who wants a true guard dog.
We have kids that he was raised with since he was a baby, but he's becoming too aggressive to trust with the family. He's extremely loving and loyal but awfully protective and he doesn't realize his own size or capability. He's great on leash, likes frequent walks and loves to run for as long as you can. He will be your shadow and just wants to be near someone at all times.

He's potty trained, and uses a doggie-door. He sleeps in his crate at night and hangs out during the day, usually wherever you are, or will allow him to be. He loves to chew on raw-hides, and bologna is his favorite (only) treat. He has a sensitive stomach, so you won't be able to share table food with him. He is current on vaccinations and is very well maintained and cared for. He enjoys bath time and loves being scrubbed.

I hate having to even consider re-homing my baby but cannot risk the safety of my children. I will be extremely picky about who he goes to because I love him and care for him so much, so if you can be patient with me and honest then let's talk. I owe it to Fitz to be sure he makes it to the right home so he, or nobody else has to go through losing a family again.
