Hunter is a new arrival (first of March, 2020) from an animal shelter where he had been surrendered by his owner. It isn't known how long he lived there, but we suspect it was short-lived based on his fairly-recent microchip number. Hunter was given up essentially because he was untrained and distractible. He's obviously an intelligent dog who needs exercise, stimulation and companionship, as he will chew, dig, and open gates when he's overly bored. He loves children and would likely be a good pet for a stay-at-home mom or dad with kids, though he would probably need some training to not overwhelm them and then be stuck in the backyard alone. Hunter's age is a bit of a mystery: the owner gave his age as 6 years, but the animal shelter veterinary staff aged him as 1-2 years.
