Doberman Pinscher/Boxer Mix

This is a courtesy post for Doberman Mix in southern California. This is not a Dobies and Little Paws dog, we have not met him, and we encourage all adopters to exercise due diligence before adopting. You can contact his owner at 719.396.5614 or Laureldawn.silva@gmail.com for more information.

"Meet Ice. He is a beautiful and sweet 1 1/2 year old DobermanXBoxer neutered male. He has been an amazing dog to us since the day we brought him home. I have two kids and he is incredibly patient and protective of them. Unfortunately, I am going through a rough divorce and also have a special needs 2 year old son that is in and out of the hospital. I had no plans of rehoming Ice, but recently he has become stressed and anxious and I know it’s because I am not giving him what he needs.

Ice is good with other dogs, he loves to play which could be obnoxious to older dogs or small breeds. However, he is gentle and will not injure them. He has lived with a 12 pound Italian greyhound since he was 7 weeks old. He is used to chickens and cats, does not harm them but will try to play! He has a protective instinct with myself and my kids and will bark if somebody is at the door. He has never bitten or showed signs of biting. He barks but is actually socially anxious and terrified behind the bark. He is leash trained but does still pull a little and gets nervous sometimes. He does really well off leash at a dog park or other open settings. Ice is cautious of new people but as long as they don’t act scared and show him love, he will trust them fairly quickly. He is super good with my kids and knows to be gentle and does “ninja moves” while playing to avoid knocking over the kids. He will sit and watch you eat praying for you to drop food but won’t take it out of your hand or off your plate (unless you leave it unattended for too long lol). He either sleeps on my bed, the floor, or his dog bed. He is used to a crate for when being left home alone but has not needed it for months (doesn’t chew or pee inside). He needs a home with love and room to play. Please feel free to email me or text me with any other questions and I can tell you so much more about him. We live in Chino Hills, California. I absolutely don’t mind driving for the right home."
