J. R. is a new arrival with us, though he did have one problem when adopted twice before from an upstate animal shelter: he escaped. It isn't known what the circumstances were or even if the escapes were from the same owner's property. Perhaps his previous adopter(s) had too short a fence or one with holes in it, or perhaps they failed to keep doors and gates closed; we don't know. We're intending to place him with an adopter that has a secure property with a tall enough wall or fence that if vaulting over it was his method of escape, he'll be unable to do so again! J. R. is on the small side, about 4 years old, and he think he's super dog-social. During his photo-taking, he was non-reactive to other dogs near him and seemed very friendly and happy to be with people.
