Jasper came to us on January 6, 2021 from his owner because she became homeless and Jasper was too "guardy" to live with her in her car. His birthday is April 4, at which time he'll be one year old. When living with his owner previously, he was an outside dog, so he'll probably need a little help to be reliably housebroken. She said he is good with other dogs and kids, isn't destructive, and he knows obedience commands. Jasper tends to be overly protective of his home and owner, so he'll need a relatively experienced owner to help him understand who is welcome and when. That said, he'll also be a good watchdog for folks wanting that trait that Dobermans typically possess.
