Kya is a young female Dobie who was surrendered to us a few weeks ago.  She was fostered and ultimately adopted from an animal shelter by a nice little family who got her healthy.  Unfortunately, her behavior started to devolve a bit and they could no longer trust her around the child in the home.  During her stay with us, Kya hasn't shown a single ounce of aggression and we don't believe she is a bad dog but she will need a very specific home.  Kya is a naturally anxious dog with plenty of energy and she's also a bit insecure.  If she lives with someone who nurtures or enables that energy then she will continue to struggle. In her previous home she was very codependent, had separation anxiety, became demanding and wasn't friendly towards strangers.  We set some very clear and fair boundaries from day one and Kya has been nothing but perfectly behaved.  Her previous owner loved her dearly but the way she loved her was unhealthy for Kya and she really needs an owner to understand that so can be her best self.  She is great with other dogs and would be perfect with a large male and/or female that loves to play and snuggle.
