This is a courtesy post for a female Doberman who is looking for a new home.  She is located in California and you can contact her owner at breannamorgan09@hotmail.com for more information.

"This is Lexi. She is a spayed female black/tan Doberman. She is 8 years old. We have owned her since she was 8 weeks old. She has no major health problems. She did have her ACL repaired (surgery) in December 2018 and healed fully.

She has a good appetite and loves hiking and running outdoors. She has a microchip in place.

She has a good temperament with all people including children. We have two children ages 3 and 5. Lexi has been around the kids freely from their birth with no aggressiveness or other problems. She gets groomed with no aggression towards the groomer.

She is not however friendly with other dogs or animals and is not socialized. She hunts small animals including birds, rabbits, cats, and lizards. We do own another male Doberman who’s 6 years old. Since Lexi has raised the male since he was a puppy they get along fine.

Recently, after her ACL surgery, she has been exhibiting odd behaviors. She has started to seclude herself in the house. She found a way to escape our yard and does so at the expense of injuring herself. We went through the efforts of reinforcing our gated backyard with chicken wire and she still has pushed the wire down and escaped scratching herself. We don’t want to keep her in a kennel all day every day but we don’t have the ability to keep her indoors constantly. And we have already taken steps to keep her in our yard with no success.

We would love to find her a home compatible with where she is in her life. Thank you!"
