Zoe is a small, energetic Dobie girl we rescued at the request of her local animal shelter. She had been adopted out twice because she is so cute, but she isn't the right dog for everyone. They felt she probably needed to be the only dog in the home, though we have had some luck kenneling her with strong, large males. She probably had never needed to adjust to sharing anything (food, affection, etc.) with another dog previously, and she didn't feel inclined to do so. So, we fell Zoe would be happiest as your only dog. Zoe loves her people like no other and is silly, playful and affectionate while comfortable at home but we do not recommend her for a home with children.  Her real problem comes when she goes out in public and encounters other dogs.  She is reactive on leash and her energy level skyrockets.  Zoe needs a quiet home where she can either get exercise within the safety of her own property or she would require an owner that can hire a professional trainer and provide her with follow through. Her animal shelter listed her as 1 year and 8 months old (as of February, 2018), and her weight at 48 pounds.
