Maggie's history has had several twists and turns, so we aren't able to fill in all of the blanks about her since she was adopted around 4-5 years ago. She had been adopted by an employee of our local vet clinic, who at the time was living with her "significant other." Not too much later they went their separate ways, and the man moved to Las Vegas with Maggie. At some point during the next couple of years, the man had some type of personal difficulties and decided to board Maggie at a boarding kennel for a short while, and that short while turned into over two years! For the last three months of that time he didn't pay the board bill, so the kennel contacted us, realizing that she was one of our adoptees. We were horrified, of course, and contacted the woman with whom we placed her back then, and she was also horrified. By then she had moved hundreds of miles away and is living with another "significant other," each of them bringing dogs into the home that now total three. Maggie was relinquished to us by her former woman owner, who recalled her being housebroken, ok with some dogs (preferably males), and knowing basic obedience. She's estimated to be around 7 years old now, and she has good body weight and seems in good health.
