Marcus came to us with a badly broken leg and absolutely terrified so we had a hard time getting close to him at all until after surgery. The break was not fresh and the break was so bad that it couldn't be repaired and we had to amputate his leg. After surgery Marcus started to come around and show a sweeter side to his foster mom. Finally he not only let us touch him but he also became quite affectionate. He still can be a little fearful and will shy away from hands grabbing towards him. Because of that, we don't think he would be a good choice for a home with children. He would do best in a calm, adult home without a ton of visitors in and out to deal with. He will be dedicated and devoted to those he knows but just has no interest in being approached by those people he doesn't know. Marcus is about 4 years old and he can live with large, female dogs.
