Lucy was adopted along with a male named Jake by a man who found them amazing: very smart and responsive to training and activity. Unfortunately, demands in his life and the need to move because of the pandemic caused him to relinquish them on May 30, 2020. He says they are very bonded, housebroken, good with kids, have basic obedience, and aren't destructive. When he needed to leave them for periods of time, they were very fearful with their caretakers and suffered from separation anxiety. Upon their return, the two dogs had issues getting along and we found it was safer to separate them.  Jake has found a wonderful home but Lucy is still waiting for the right home that can keep up with her energy.  Lucy did have to have her leg amputated after suffering a major injury before landing at the animal shelter.  She is 2-3 years old.
