We rescued Maybelle from an animal shelter up the coast when she became available. She was underweight and is still gaining weight several weeks later. Maybelle is estimated at 7 years old and is quite a beautiful and sweet dog. She has lived with other larger dogs but can be pushy around food with them so she could use some supervision there. Her evaluation at her animal shelter sums it up nicely: "She's very sweet and seeks affection. Will jump on you and rub her muzzle on you." When taken out to a yard for a potty break "she was very happy to be out and was trotting around the yard. She then ran up to (the handler) quickly and stopped in a play bow position. Was very playful but not vocal." She did well being bathed and demonstrated that she knew commands sit and shake. "Very smart girl and loves her food/treats."
