Dogs get turned into animal shelters every day because their owners can't afford to take care of them and that includes dogs that have medical issues. We believe dogs like those deserve a chance at a happy and healthy life though so we get them out of the shelters, fix them up, and find them new homes. It can be expensive to do this so we can really use your help. Each dog here is a medical case that we're working on right now. These are the dogs we call our "Demodex 7". Demodex is a type of mange that is not contagious but difficult and lengthy to treat. The mites get out of hand when a dog's immune system gets compromised and generally happens in younger dogs. We have to not only treat the mange mites but also secondary skin infections and try to boost their immune systems. It can take months for dogs to fully get better but these dobies are such sweethearts that we will do everything we can to help them. After working closely with our vet and taking advantage of some great advice, we have a game plan that will make all of these babies better. The bad news? It is a bit price at $50 a month, per dog...minimum. That's $350 a month we have to come up with to have any chance at curing them.
