Doberman Pinscher

Mustang is a dog no one else wanted. He was cowering in the corner of his kennel at the animal shelter where he was impounded and not claimed. Since we always try to give every Dobie a chance, we brought him in, sick and skinny. He recovered over the next couple of weeks, and we've been working with him on leash so he doesn't give us the "deer in the headlights" look of a dog that expects to be attacked at any moment. Mustang is now very tolerant of handling by gentle adults, though a high-stress lifestyle would not suit him. He's a young adult of about 2 years, with a natural tail. The ideal home we envision for Mustang would be a one-dog doting home with patient adults that can continue his progress toward confidence and happiness.
