Nikki is a new arrival (New Year's Day 2020) who had been adopted from an animal shelter by someone who decided not to keep her and surrendered her to another shelter, where she was adopted again. Then she became lost and was hit by a car, according to the animal shelter vet where she ended up after straying from her second home. No injuries are evident, so she was lucky. Nikki clearly wants to be in a home where she gets the attention she deserves, and we are hoping that it will be a secure home/yard environment in case she is a sneaky escape artist. She has not displayed that here however, so it's more likely that her most recent owner was careless. Nikki is about 1 1/2 years old and lean at about 55 pounds. She's kenned with a male and is compatible with him, though she may not need a companion dog to be happy.
