Nola is about 7 months old (as of January 2020) and she has quite the story.  She came to us with a major blockage and needed life saving surgery that her owners couldn't afford/wouldn't pay for.  She had eaten carpet, wire, and some drywall apparently and from what we know, it wasn't the first time she ate something she shouldn't.  From what we have seen, Nola is just a typical trouble-making puppy and needs proper confinement when no one is home.  She either needs to be in a clean yard or crated indoors, at least right now during her younger years.  Nola is very dog social and very sweet with people but both require slow and proper introductions.  Her fear and lack of proper socialization has left her nervous when meeting anyone new so she can be growly and eager to avoid them.  What we have found is that if someone is patient and quietly sits down, then she quickly becomes friendly and affectionate.  For some of these reasons, we don't believe a home with really small children is suitable.  She will need a responsible and understanding home that won't put her in any of these situations where can get herself in to trouble.  She is smart, sweet and we know that in the proper environment she will thrive.
