Paige's owner had 4 senior dogs when she became homeless. Her daughter had approached us, asking if we could take a pair of senior Dobermans, so we agreed. But when they arrived, they were accompanied by two 15-year-old mixed-breed dogs as well. There was no option except euthanasia at the dog pound because one could not walk and Paige is completely blind. We couldn't refuse them, so now we are in a quandary about how to make Paige's life enjoyable for the short time she probably has left. She is a small cattle dog mix weighing 20-25 pounds, with abundant fur and a sweet, placid disposition. Paige is well housebroken; she seems to only do her "business" when she is outside her living area, and she's not at all destructive inside her area. She spends a lot of time sleeping, so she would be a very easy dog to keep. The only health issue we have noted is that she badly needs dental work, and we don't know how safe it is to anesthetize a 15-year-old dog. We would so love for this little old lady to be loved and cared for....
