Peeka is a darling little lady who is fortunate to be alive! She was hit by a car in September, 2018 and suffered a pelvic fracture and a broken leg. Her owners opted to have her put down rather than pay to repair her fractures, but fortunately for her, she got lucky, got good medical care, and has made a remarkable recovery. She was pain-free by the end of 2018, and she is very functional in the rear now, though we probably wouldn't recommend her for avid hikers or runners. Peeka is a goofy pup who can play roughly and likes to get attention by barking at her loved one(s). When hanging out with her loved ones, she is very happy to bury her head in their laps and snuggle in for petting. She is crate-trained, and an easy keeper who will not jump a short fence. She is not recommended for a home with young children or fragile adults due to her energy level and exuberance. Peeka is about 14 months old (as of April, 2019), and she's on the small side at about 50 pounds.
