Poppy is a beautiful, sweet and social new addition at the rescue. She was identified as a Doberman at the animal shelter but we quickly realized that wasn't quite accurate. She may have Doberman in her but she is absolutely a mix. You can see the ridge down her shoulders that is a classic trait of the Rhodesian Ridgeback. Whatever she is, she is amazing. She lives wonderfully with her kennelmate, Rusty (in case you may be interested in a pair!) and she has been very affectionate with every person she has met. Poppy is about 2 years old and though she is strong on leash and likes to play, she isn't an overly hyper dog. She is the ideal hiking companion and couch potato. Her brief time in a home (her return was not her fault) showed she was mostly housebroken, has some training and wasn't destructive.
