This is a courtesy post for a Doberman mix in northern/central California in need of a new home. Please contact pkrebbs02@gmail.com for adoption information.

"Rey is Doberman/Doberman mix, according to two vets. They believe she is between 1 and two years old. We found her at the beginning of August in the winco parking lot in Modesto Ca.
She only had a chewed off piece of a leash that was tied to itself around her neck.
I took her to two vets and both scan for micro chips and found none.we reported her to the Stanislaus county shelter who told us we could foster her or turn her in. We decided to foster her in stead of risking anything bad happening up her. We searched for her owners both with flyers and posted on multiple web pages and Facebook and next door to no avail.
We have vaccinated her and she is now spayed. She is also dewormed and flea and ticked. We will be having her checked for heart worms either this week or next week. Other then that she is healthy according to the vets. We have microchipped her and we gave her a collar and named her Rey.

She is a sweetheart and wants to obey. She wants to be close to you when you are with her. You are her focus usually. She is really smart. She has a lot of puppy in her still. She knows sit, and knows how to return a toy but that is it. We are working her jumping up when she is excited. We are also trying to work with her on chewing inappropriate things, and trying to train to chew on healthy and appropriate things.

She seems to be pretty good with other dogs. She is s pretty good walker, though she pulls when she has a lot of energy. We have a 3 year old lab and they play together just fine. We have two young children and though we have so far limited their interaction, the few times we have introduced them to her, she has reacted well to them."
