Doberman Pinscher

Ringo was surrendered to us by an owner who lost his house and moved into a condo where dogs aren't allowed. He stated that Ringo was born in September, 2008, and that he's housebroken, good with other dogs and kids, knows his commands and is good off leash, and isn't destructive. No health or behavioral problems were indicated. When he placed him with an adult couple and another male dog, he behaved well for the first week, then challenged one adult when it was requested that he go outside. We think Ringo might be inclined to respect a male owner more, but clearly his next owner must be someone who isn't afraid of a large dog wishing to be the dominant presence in the home. He's a particularly large dog, probably around 100 pounds.
