Rocco and a companion dog were confiscated together by their local animal control for reasons that were not shared with us. Rocco is a good-sized blue Dobie who was logged in as 8 years old, but we don't believe it! It's common for shelters to over-age blue dogs because they are grey in color, making them appear older. Viewing Rocco's teeth and energy level, we'd put his age at 4-5 years. He did live companionably with the dog he came in with, Winston (maybe a Bernese Mountain dog mix), but he was very dominant with him. We thought that perhaps he would be best as an only dog but he hasn't displayed that behavior to all dogs he has met. We are having lots of success introducing him to large female dogs with no issues. He's a happy, active boy weighing about 75-80 pounds.
