Rocky is a beautiful and very good dog for the right owner. We initially rescued him from an upstate shelter which had labeled him "rescue only" because he nipped a bicyclist while running loose outside his property. At that point he was confiscated. We know that many dogs are overly agitated by wheels like scooters, skateboards and bicycles, and the shelter staff were all smitten with Rocky's sweetness and sociability, so Rocky was rescued. He was quite easy to place with a young couple, who unfortunately went their separate ways two months later, making Rocky homeless again. He gets high marks for being housebroken, good with other dogs and kids, obeying commands, and not being destructive. We are seeking an adult home for him due to the responsibility involved in ensuring that he isn't allowed off-leash when outside a confined area, so that he'll not have any more incidents to stain his otherwise good behavioral record. He's almost 18 months old as of late September, 2023.
