We took Sadie in from a local animal shelter on May 24, 2021. She had been impounded as a stray dog and during the three weeks she spent there, she had become somewhat of a darling of one of the officers at the shelter. Even during her short stay with us, we can see why. Sadie is a sweet, slightly shy, 2-year-old gentle dog that we think is probably Border Collie and Shepherd, but without the high energy that can be typical of either breed. We immediately partnered her with a young male Doberman mix, and the best word to describe her a few hours later is "peaceful." Though we don't know whether Sadie would do best with another dog or be equally happy as the only dog, it seems clear she can partner with another dog in the home and perhaps kids in the family that are old enough to respect her peaceful nature.
