Sammy has been with us for a number of months so we have gotten to know more about this big guy...both good and bad. He's a large male, and he's 7 years old, having been given up by his family when they moved and couldn't take him. He is in good condition other than thinner hair on his rump, possibly a sign of poor diet or fleas during the warm months. Unfortunately, Sammy has not been able to socialize well with other dogs so he would have to be your one and only. We also recommend Sammy for a Dobie-savvy adult home with no access to children. Though he can be loving, he can also be a resource guarder and have territorial issues. The proper environment will be necessary for him to safely thrive.
