His animal shelter called him Scooter, but a better name might be Spitfire! This young boy arrived on March 13, 2020, and he's almost certainly a Keeshond mix. He weighs just under 50 pounds, he's 10 months old, he has long, soft, luxurious fur, and he's hyper-alert and energetic. We partnered Scooter with a young female Doberman who is somewhat more shy, and he snipes at her a bit in his excitement. If paired with another dog, we think he should have a good-sized yard and ample exercise to spend some of his excess energy. When we asked the animal shelter people why an adopter returned him to the shelter, we were told it was because he tried to climb into the lap of the adopter while he or she was driving. The shelter folks called Scooter "a special boy." He certainly is unique!
