Simba was relinquished to an animal shelter in 2016 because he supposedly had medical problems they couldn't afford to address. In reality, he is a blue Dobie with the average coat typical of blue Dobermans, but no skin "problems." Also, he was underweight, and he could still stand to gain a few pounds now, three years later. Simba simply isn't a "foodie," though he will definitely beg for people food or even dog food that isn't dry kibble. This dog is now a mellow older Velcro dog who just wants to attach himself to his person and be cuddled in return. He is a big guy, but he never jumps on anyone, and he's housebroken and totally social with other large dogs. (We don't know about small ones, but our guess is...probably.) We attempted to capture Simba's gentle, calm spirit in a video, but he presents as a dullard who slogs along when walked, and THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL DOG! He's about 8 years old now, and he has normal energy for his age, enjoying exploring outdoors and hanging out with other dogs, but his favorite thing is to be anywhere with his owner, loyal to the fullest degree.
