Spike is a gentle, easy going middle-aged fella that came to us several weeks ago.  He was actually surrendered along with a female Dobie but they did not like each other so they were separated.  Spike seems far more interested in attention from people than companionship with other dogs but we do believe he can share a home with an easy going large female dog.  He is quiet and seems like he would be an appreciative easy keeper for someone looking for a calm companion.  He does have a couple of fatty lumps which are common in aging Dobies but they don't bother him.  He has plenty of energy for regular walks but doesn't he doesn't have major exercise needs.
