Stella was quite the interesting rescue from the day she came in and she continues to baffle us a bit but we still LOVE her! She was described as a doberman/terrier mix but her exact breed mix will remain a mystery. Stella has neurological issues that causes truly strange behaviors. She has OCD as well as something that we can only describe as doggy schizophrenia. It's actually impossible to properly describe Stella to those people who haven't met her but we can say that she is completely one of a kind. We were originally searching for a home for Stella but it was difficult finding an adopter who could deal with her odd behaviors. We were happy to give her a loving place until that special home could be found but then everything changed. One night Stella had a truly frightening series of seizures and it was nothing short of a miracle that she survived. Several trips to the vet gave us no answers but thankfully, she hasn't had a seizure since. We have also seen that under certain conditions, Stella will bite even though she doesn't seem to be completely aware of it. We have decided to keep Stella at our Leaps and Bounds sanctuary so we can properly manage and care for her long list of needs. The last thing we would ever want for this special girl is to be bounced around from home to home which would most likely happen in her case. She is loved, gets to live in the house and sleep in bed and she has become the welcoming committee for new rehab dogs.
