Tangerine is one of three youngsters that came from a rural animal shelter.  They were dumped outside and it took a few days for all of them to be trapped/caught.  They were so scared and shut down that the shelter felt they would never be adopted there. They are still quite scared, often finding a safe corner to hide in but they are allowing more handling and gaining confidence from other dogs. Tangerine is the most social of the siblings so we are excited to finally see her get a home.  She's learned how to walk on leash now and she's medium-sized at only about 35 pounds.  Tangerine will need a very patient home so she can come out of their shell slowly with steady socialization.  We also believe another dog or two would be useful as good role models.
