Doberman Pinscher

So this guy's story is a bit of a heartbreaker but hang in there because you might just fall in love with him as much as we have. Meet Tiny! This guy came into the animal shelter in such terrible condition that he rated a 3.5 out of 9 on the body condition scale. He was emaciated, just skin draped over bone and he was so hungry that he ate the tongue depressor they were using to give him canned food on. His coat was dry and sun bleached, probably from many years never being inside. Thankfully, he was lovingly cared for by a boarding kennel we use when there is no space and they have been fattening him up ever since. He still needs to gain a little weight and certainly some muscle but he is doing fantastic. He is now with us so he can be neutered this week and we just couldn't wait to share him with all of you. He is so loving and snuggly, with a gentle nature that will melt your heart. He is doing great with the other dogs he has met so far and we will continue to find out more about him over the next few days. He's only middle aged at about 6 years old so he has many years of love and devotion ahead of him. He needs a low stress home that can be patient as we don't think he has EVER been in a house before today and he deserves to live in comfort until the day he dies. He will join us at the rescue in Fillmore, ca on Saturday for adoptions so if you can offer this amazing boy a forever home or maybe even a long-term foster while he waits then let us know
