Trumbull is about 4 years old and this fawn cutie was found by animal control in rough shape. He had a dangerously high temperature and without the shelter's intervention, he could have died from heat stroke. His fear made him a little difficult behaviorally in the kennel environment, especially at the gate or fence line. Despite looking a little scary, we knew it was fear when we could see his legs quivering. With gentle and experienced handling, Trumbull has become friendly with everyone at the rescue. He will need an adult home that can provide the proper environment and guidance he needs to navigate the world without getting into trouble. He also will need a solid gate and fence because he is territorial and may bite if someone stuck their hands in your yard. Trumbull has shared space with large females dogs and generally does fine but he isn't a candidate for dog parks or really dog social environments.
