We were approached by a central valley CA shelter to rescue Adrian, who had been taken in with bites and scratches on his body, and he was timid and not adjusting well to life at the shelter. He was also underweight at 45 pounds. Adrian clearly needed help, so we rescued him in mid-December, 2022, and he had gained 7 pounds by the time we neutered him on January 3rd. So far he has not been able to kennel with another dog, but we think that may be the reason for the bite marks and underweight condition at his shelter; he was probably having to fight for food.  Meanwhile, he's full of energy and plays the role of watchdog pretty well, and he's really cute. Small but mighty!
