Meet Bonnie! This high-energy youngster came to us from an animal shelter several weeks ago. It took us a little time to get a few healthy pounds on her frame and get her spayed. We were also waiting for her appointment at the Veterinary Eye Clinic in Calabasas because of a juvenile cataract in her right eye. It is a small cataract, probably congenital, and is centered right in the middle of her eye so she can see around it. The opening of her eye is also a bit misshapen causing it to look smaller. All other tests came back normal. She is not currently a candidate for surgery but may be in the future so we are looking for a special home for Bonnie. She is currently on an anti-inflammatory eye drop daily that we hope will keep her from requiring surgery. She was such a good girl at her appointment at the eye clinic. Happy, affectionate and loved everyone she met! She does live with other large dogs but she isn’t always as welcoming to new dogs on leash. She even barked at her reflection in the mirror! 😂 Bonnie loves to play, run and snuggle so she would be ideal for someone with a big yard and big heart.
