Bruce Jr. (because we have one other Bruce) came to us as an owner surrender on March 28, 2021 due to a provoked bite incident. Bruce was lying in the back seat of a car, and a boy crawled over him to get into the back seat, frightening the dog, and he was nipped. It was a minor bite according to the family, but the child was taken to a doctor, so the bite had been reported. Though they were very sad to give Bruce up, they didn't want the boy who was nipped - who is their child's best friend - to not be able to visit, and they also worried that animal control might cause problems for them in their jurisdiction. Everything else about Bruce is mostly positive: he's housebroken, knows his obedience commands, is good with other dogs and kids in the home as well as those that don't scare him, and he's not destructive. He's a large, AKC-pedigreed pup of almost 10 months old (DOB 6-6-20) who weighs 73 pounds. He will mature into a large boy who needs an owner strong enough to handle him.
