Buddy 3 (yes, we have 3 dogs named Buddy right now) is a newer addition that was surrendered. He was good with the larger dog in the home but was too physically overwhelming for the tiny dog they had. They said he wasn’t aggressive but when he played he would hurt her because of his size. He is good in the house, good with people and older kids. He’s only 1 year old so despite having some training, he will definitely need someone physically capable of handle a strong dog and someone with the time to continue with his training. He has one big negative and that is reactivity and aggression toward other dogs while on leash. This is very common in our breed and many dogs in general these days but he will need an owner that can advocate for him out in public and will not let him greet other dogs while out on walks. We recommend the use of a basket muzzle while out in dog populated areas while he goes thru training. He does share his kennel with a female Doberman and hasn’t had any issues with her.
