Doug is a new arrival with us and he's about 15 months old as of April, 2023. He weighs about 75 pounds and is quite beefy, typical of European-bred Dobermans. Doug's animal shelter behavioral team gave him high marks in various areas: very playful, using his own leash as a toy when left alone; wiggly body; play bows; very treat-motivated. As always, dog-sociability is dependent on compatible dogs and their behavior. It appears that Doug's only potential negative behavior is liking to jump on people when greeting them, which should be an easy behavior to correct. Doug can also be quite strong on leash so he will need an equally strong handler to take him out for the adventures he needs!
