Meet Freya! We call her Freya Sr because we have a younger Dobie mix named Freya as well right now. This gorgeous girl is about 7 years young and came to us in ROUGH shape. The shelter had to do an emergency spay because she had pyometra (a dangerously infected uterus) even though she emaciated. She came to us skeletal and still fighting some of the leftover infection internally. This girl is the epitome of strength though because despite her depleted condition she could still drag you down onto your ass! She’s slowly gotten better and is gaining weight beautifully even though she still has a way to go. Don’t think at 7 years old she’s an old lady though because despite her love for naps, she is also ready for adventure and good luck keeping up with her on a walk! She lives with a large male Dobie and didn’t mind another female temporarily for a roommate. However, she can get excited and may not meet strange dogs on walks very well. She needs an owner that can advocate for her space and continue her training on leash so she can be well behaved on walks. Also, no kitties for her. She’s ready to begin the search for a forever home so let us know if you want to meet her!
