Gouda is a sweet 2-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart of gold. He was out of time at an animal shelter and we just couldn't pass up on those big brown eyes. He has been good with other dogs, non-reactive towards cats and great with people, though he does have the bad habit of jumping up for attention. As are most GP's, he is an excellent watchdog with a big bark that will keep you safe from predators or the random leaf blowing through the yard in the middle of the night. From what we can tell so far he is not an escape artist and can easily be contained by a basic 6ft fence. We encourage any potential adopters read about the Great Pyrenees breed and understand their traits and grooming needs. Gouda has not been tested with any other farm animals so we do not know if he can actually guard livestock but he would happily be a family pet with a backyard and daily exercise. Gouda is a very Goud-a boy!
