Hans is a handsome approximately 6-year-old Dobie boy who came from the animal shelter years ago. He had been adopted and returned to the shelter but we weren't told why. He has since tried a few other homes unsuccessfully. Hans is very high energy, needing both his mental and physical energy drained daily. He is very food motivated but his food drive can be so high that he will also steal food from people's hands. Hans cannot be crated except by maybe, a high impact crate as he has chewed thru or destroyed most normal crates on the market. Hans needs a very experienced handler who has the time to invest and the environment needed to keep him from getting himself into trouble. Unfortunately, he hasn't been reliably dog social so he will need to be your one and only animal. We love Hans and he really is beloved by our employees and volunteers at the rescue but he has struggled to be compatible living in a home environment so he needs someone 100% committed, even when it is difficult.
