Hogan is a good dog who was repeatedly failed by humans. Someone "rescued" him months ago from another person who was ready to dump him because he wasn't wanted. The "rescuer" kept Hogan until he gave him to a friend as a pet for his family. The friend allowed him to repeatedly run the streets, dodging traffic, until he finally ended up in an animal shelter. In Hogan's case this might be the best thing that could have happened to him, because now he will be safe until a worthy home is found. He's 4 years old, good with kids and he's been good with large female dogs. He is not good with small dogs and may not be good with male dogs in general.  During his animal shelter stay he dropped weight over several weeks, paced his kennel, and was miserable. The home we're seeking for this lovable dog will appreciate him and be sure to keep him out of harm's way. His ideal weight should be around 85 pounds.
