Knox was adopted from us but is sadly, not working out in his home due to issues between him and their other dog. We are trying to help him find a new home directly so he doesn't have to go through the upset of returning to the rescue first. Please submit an adoption application and we can have any answers go to his owners.
We’re looking for a new home for our sweet dog, Knox. After more than 3 years of trying everything—training, careful management, and lots of love—we’ve come to the heartbreaking conclusion that rehoming him is what’s best for everyone, especially him. Despite all our efforts, Knox and our other male dog have had ongoing conflicts that have resulted in several vet visits. We’re constantly worried about what could happen if we’re not there to intervene. Knox deserves a safe, peaceful life—not one spent muzzled or separated in a crate.
Knox is about 4 years old. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, crate trained, fully housebroken, and knows all his basic commands. He walks beautifully on a leash with direction and absolutely loves his walks—it’s one of his favorite parts of the day. He’s been camping and enjoys outdoor adventures just as much as a cozy evening at home. He’s not destructive, and in many ways, he’s the ideal companion.
But Knox must be the only dog in the home, especially no other males dogs. He would do best with someone who understands and respects the needs and boundaries of the Doberman breed, and who can give him a structured, loving environment.
This decision has been incredibly painful. We love Knox deeply, and we are committed to finding him the perfect home where he can live his best life.
If you or someone you know could be a good fit, please reach out. Thank you so much for your understanding and support.
