Mack's early life was lived on the streets of Los Angeles among homeless people, where he was subject to various levels of abuse and danger. Finally a firefighter who became acquainted with Mack brought him home in order to get him healthy and find a worthy home for him. He realized that with his work schedule requiring him to be on duty 72 hours at a time, Mack was not getting the attention nor the sort of life he deserves. He's a beautiful, healthy dog now, about 2 years old, who is housebroken, trained, not destructive, and active. He enjoys physically-demanding activities and is apprehensive only on the infrequent occasions that certain individuals make him uncomfortable, probably reminding him of unsavory individuals from his past. He would benefit from having a confident owner that he can trust to advocate for him when he feels in danger.
